Walk nº 1: Sagres 10h30 - 13h00 (10 km/ 6 miles)
See our Events Page on Facebook on which days we´ll walk here.
Description
This walk will lead you through the centre of Sagres, the farm lands North of Sagres and return along the coast passing the beach of Praia do Beliche.
Meeting point
Start & finish is from the coffee shop in front of Hotel Mareta at the main roundabout/square near Praia de Mareta. When you enter Sagres by car on the main road (N268) coming from Lagos, continue driving to the first roundabout. Turn here left to the next roundabout which is only 200 meters (1000 ft) away. On the this roundabout is Hotel Mareta. Park here and walk to the coffee shop that is located in front of Hotel Mareta. See here the map for this location.
Terrain
Most of the walk is flat, there are 2 small climbs. The terrain is a mixture of asphalt, gravel roads, forest paths and sandy tracks. The far west of the Algarve is cooler, so on hotter days this is still a pleasant walk. Required Fitness Level is 1, Terrain Level is B, see it explained here.
€5 pp - what´s included?
The best thing is: the cost is only € 5 per person per walk.
Included is our company´s liability insurance, a First-Aid-certified walking guide and you are hosted by Outdoor-Tours, a Portuguese licensed outdoor adventure company.
