See our Events Page on Facebook on which days we´ll walk here.
Description
This walk leads you along the local small farms west of Tavira and towards the fishing village Santa Luzia. The way back follows the marsh lands with salt pans and occasionally flamingoes.
Meeting point
Start & finish is from the coffee shop “Barlavento” outside the train station in Tavira (map). When you enter Tavira by car, follow the signs “Estação”. The train station is located next to supermarket “Lidl” at a large roundabout named Largo de Santo Amaro. The coffee shop is in the right wing of the building.
Terrain
The complete walk is flat. The terrain is a mixture of asphalt, gravel roads, and single tracks through the farm lands outside Tavira and along the coast. There is little shade, so bring on a sunny day a hat please.
