Let gravity do the work on the Monchique Downhill Cycling Trip!
Downhill Cycling Trip on quiet roads
After a short safety briefing, we will begin our descent to the coast. Cycling at a relaxed pace, without strain. It’s an easy-going ride. Downhill all the way.
Our experienced, multilingual, MTB guide will lead you down quiet country roads and through the green valleys of the Serra de Monchique. We’ll make pit stops at the most picturesque sites so you can take some photos, and learn about the local flora and fauna.
After our calm, effortless descent through the spectacular nature of Monchique, we’ll head further south.
For the last leg of our journey, we will cycle cross-country, through beautiful valleys, on quiet tarmac roads. We are usually greeted by one of the local shepherds as we cycle past charming little farms.
We’ll end our trip on gravel roads that lead to the fertile estuary lagoon of the Ria de Alvor, where we are often lucky enough to spot flamingos or spoonbills.
To make sure we are delivering optimal service during the tour a service car will follow along carrying water and your personal belongings. The service car is also available for you to use if you wish to take a rest during the trip.
