What are ´hanging valleys`?
Die 'hängenden Täler' sind erodierte Formen in den weichen Kalksteinfelsen, verursacht durch Bäche und Flüsse, die ihren Weg zu den Stränden in Küstennähe finden. Der Regen zerschneidet die Küstenlinie und schafft kleine "Hänge". Täler. Der Strand von Benagil ist einer davon und man kommt hier gegen Mittag vorbei.

Itinerary
After a short briefing and introduction, the guide will lead you first to Benagil, where you can have a coffee break on the beach and use the restrooms.
The walk continues to Praia da Marinha which is according to the Michelin guide one of the most beautiful beaches worldwide.
The next short break is at Praia da Albandeira, and the walk ends at the chapel on top of the rocks at Senhora da Rocha at around 15h00.
Meeting Point – Start
We suggest meeting at 09h00 at the lighthouse of Alfazinha near Carvoeiro. We will arrange a taxi service back to the start where your car is.

Itinerary
After a short introduction, the guide will lead you past the lighthouse of Alfazinha, and then head on to Benagil where there is time for a coffee break on the beach.
After the break, we´ll continue to the beach of Praia da Marinha which is also the end of this Half Day Walk that will last approx. 3-3,5 hours
Meeting Point – Start
The meeting point is at the entrance to the beach of Vale Centeanes just east of Carvoeiro. There is an early morning tour at 09h00 and a sunset tour at 17h30. You will be transferred back to this point after the walk.

The guide is a qualified Portuguese tourist guide, born and bred in the Algarve. His interests and passions are with geography, nature conservation and Portuguese history.
The professional guide will entertain your party with explanations, stories and anecdotes about Portugal, the Algarve and its flora, fauna, habits and culture.
Option lokales Mittagessen
At Praia de Benagil we can stop for a coffee and cake. On the Full Day Private Tour, you can have lunch on the beach, buy fruit on top of the rocks, or enjoy your own lunch pack on one of the benches overlooking the coastline with it´s golden cliffs and rocks.
In the afternoon you will continue your guided hike into east direction. We´ll walk along the coast with breathtaking views. Most of the tour will show you stunning views on the valleys and towards the coast.
Taxi-transfer return
Enjoy the Seven Hanging Valleys walk in one direction and with our taxi return to the beginning. The walk ends near a cafe, from where we arrange a taxi transfer back to the parking where your car is parked.

Everyone between 10-80 years with some recent walking experience is welcome on these tours.
