Travel to the Free Faro City Walk
Arrive by train
Travelling by train to Faro is enjoyable and a great way to see the Algarve scenery. Although this railway system is not particularly fast, it is a dependable and reasonably priced means of getting to Faro. The train travels from Lagos in the west to the Spanish border in Vila Real Santo Antonio. See timetable.
Take the bus
Line 16 brings you in +20 minutes from Faro Airport to the Bus Terminal “Rodoviáro”. Or, exit one stop earlier at the train station (“Estação de Comboios).
Also, check out the fast bus that runs from Lagos to Seville and stops at Faro Airport and Faro Bus Terminal “Rodoviáro”. Book at Alsa.
Drive & Park
If there is no parking near the Faro train station, you will most likely find a free parking spot at the “Largo de São Francisco“.
